Why your support matters

Step Places, Manchester Metropolitan University and Southway Housing Trust are committed to ensuring that decision-makers hear from people who support the plans for Ryebank, as well as those who may have concerns. Submitting a letter of support is a simple and effective way to demonstrate that new affordable, specialist, and energy-efficient homes have support within the community to deliver lasting benefit for current and future residents of Chorlton.

By completing this form, your personalised letter of support will be submitted directly to Manchester City Council’s planning team for consideration.

Your information will be collected by Turley, acting on behalf of Step Places, MMU and Southway Housing Trust. You can find out more about how your data will be handled by reading the GDPR statement below.

About the Planning Application

The proposals for Ryebank respond to Chorlton’s clear need for affordable, specialist and Passivhaus-designed energy-efficient homes. The scheme will deliver 120 high-quality homes, while retaining one third of the site as enhanced green space, maintaining the majority of Aspen Grove and the woodland next to Longford Park so new homes sit within a greener, healthier setting.

Details of the scheme are available to view on Manchester City Council’s Planning Portal using the reference number: 142223/FO/2025
